Visiting Footprints

I visited every nursery in Atherton. As a nursery teacher I am aware of the importance of a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I felt Footprints had this in spades and felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. I just turned up out of the blue and was immediately shown around, meaning there was nothing to hide.

Footprints just seems to have a different feel and atmosphere than the other nurseries that I visited in the area. It is very cosy, homely and I love how the children’s work is displayed everywhere, it gives it a very personal touch.

I’m very impressed with the security of the nursery. Very impressed with the fingerprint door.

I find the premises to be very welcoming and friendly, more so than the other nurseries in the area. When I first entered Footprints I got a very positive feeling about the place instantly and that was even before I spoke to any of the staff.

My child gets all excited before I get her out of the car.

He is happy and just goes into his class with ease. There are days when he can become upset but staff are always there to comfort him and reassure him so he settles.

My daughter LOVES the climbing equipment in her room; more often than not when I pick her up she’s giggling on there.

Footprints is friendly, welcoming and secure and I feel happy my child is safe when I leave her for the day.

Never seen any equipment that looks shabby. Always plenty of choice. My child has asked for certain toys from nursery for his Christmas list already.

All staff are extremely welcoming and the displays are both attractive and informative. Notices are polite and letters are well written.

Every time I come in the nursery it’s very clean, the room is large which is what we were looking for. My child loves the little climbing frame in her room and always points at the things on the wall so she loves it and so do we.

We are both really pleased on how the children are treated generally and the atmosphere created.

We chose Footprints because of the Ofsted report / recommendation. The warm welcome and safe home feeling we got on viewing Footprints. Well informed staff and up to date first aid, child protection training.

All equipment is clean and looks well looked after which is hard with so many little fingers playing with them. Never seen any equipment that looks shabby. Always plenty of choice too.
